How to set ZDay Alerts
ZDay alerts can be set through the ZDay Admin.
Navigate to ZDay Admin > Connect to Server > Settings > Email notifications
Complete the following section with the correct details:
SMTP Address to send the message from: This is the email address which will be used to send the email alerts to the recipients. There are different ways that you can setup this account and cater it precisely for your environment.
Your sender address could be an actual account in AD and Exchange with an actual mailbox.
It could also be set to use anonymous SMTP relay (will need to set it up in Exchange)
Could also be used with Microsoft Office 365 sender address.
Email Recipients (comma separated): These are the recipients who will be receiving the ZDay email alerts. You can have multiple recipients, just separate emails with comma. This can also be a distribution group.
Navigate to ZDay Admin > Connect to Server > Settings > Email SMTP Settings

SMTP Server Address: This is the IP Address or FQDN of the server which is responsible for sending/receiving email.
SMTP Port: The port used by SMTP to send or receive emails. Port 25 and port 587 are used for SMTP. Port 587 is used typically for client-to-server traffic and Port 25 is used typically for server-to-server traffic.
SMTP account login name: Depending on how the environment has been configured, if it is SMTP Auth, you may need an account to be able to send email
SMTP account password: password for the account
Use SSL: Again, depending on how the environment is setup, you may need to use SSL in order for SMTP to work
