This article applies to the following products:
- Messageware Owa Server Suite 2019
- Messageware Owa Server Suite 2016
- Messageware Owa Server Suite 2013
Note: Please consider the following preparation prior to the start uninstallation
- Multi-role (Front-End + Mailbox) Exchange servers should be placed in maintenance mode in addition to user logon traffic being temporarily diverted to an alternate multi-role Exchange server from the organization’s load balancer
For each server where Messageware is installed, proceed with the following steps to remove OSS:
Load Balancer and Exchange Considerations
- Perform the necessary load balancer configuration and set Exchange server to maintenance mode as/if needed
Navigate to the Messageware installer (this should be with the original installation files)
Select Remove All
Connect to the Messageware Admin Center URL
Click next
The next screen will show you the Plan (the software and the settings file that will be removed) > click next
The next screen is the Review screen which finalizes everything > click Apply
Once you click Apply it will start uninstalling the software
You would need to run this master installer on each server where Messageware is installed
Return Exchange Server to Production Duty
- Place the Exchange server out of Maintenance Mode
- Re-instate the Exchange server back to rotation in load balancer
For the server where Messageware Admin Center is installed, proceed with the following steps to remove Messageware Admin Center (MAC):
Navigate to control panel to uninstall Messageware Admin Center (MAC)
Note: Once the Software has been uninstalled, you can navigate to program files > and delete the Messageware folder manually
