It looks like the webpage might be having issues, or it may have moved permanently to a new address

This article applies to the following products:

  • Messageware ActiveSend

SYMPTOM
When Messageware ActiveSend is logging onto OWA, the following message may appear:

It looks like the webpage at https://outlook.office.com/owa/?login_hint=user@domain.com might be having issues, or it may have moved permanently to a new address.

CAUSE

Office 365 may be having a temporary issue with redirecting the familiarly used /owa/ path to the modern /mail/ path.  This issue has occurred infrequently and often corrects itself given time.

RESOLUTION

To point ActiveSend to the /mail/ path, a user may open the “Messageware ActiveSend Configuration” app on their computer, and click “Edit” next to their account.

In the “OWA URL:” field, change the end of the url from /owa/ to /mail/

Click on “OK” and click on Yes to check the settings.

In ActiveSend deployments where a customized deployment file is used, edit the activeSendDeployment.xml file configuration in a text editor.  Update the <owaUrl> value, change the end of the url from /owa/ to /mail/.

Use the ActiveSend_du.exe tool to transform the activeSendDeployment.xml to activesend.dep.  Deploy a new ActiveSend package to multiple computers using Group Policy or other distribution application, or distribute the activesend.dep file to the DEP subfolder of ActiveSend, overwriting the previous deployment file (requires application restart to take effect).

Refer to the Messageware ActiveSend Deployment Guide for more details.
