How to Enable Failed Request Tracing in IIS

This KB is about enabling Failed Request Tracing in IIS to capture detailed diagnostic logs for failed requests, assisting with troubleshooting, error analysis, and performance optimization


Steps

  • On the Exchange Server navigate to IIS > Default Website > FailedRequestTracing

 

  • Click Add > Select All Content (*)

  • Add Status Code 200-600

 

  • Navigate to Default Website > On the right pane under configure > Click on Failed Request Tracing

  • Click Enable and change the number of trace files to 500

  • Click ok
