SYMPTOM

The message The spelling check operation could not be completed pops up when spell-checking an email message.   The issue also occurs after clicking on the Send button when the option Always check spelling before sending is on.

CAUSE

This is caused by some legacy code that remained in the install program which created a date handling issue.

RESOLUTION

Messageware has created a small patch to correct this issue. Please follow the steps outlined below to correct this problem in your environment. The utility will have to be run on all servers the Plus Pack is installed on.

1.     Refer to the link below to download the executable file to a location on the server
http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/kb/88_PP_Patch.zip

2.     On the server where the Plus Pack is installed on, run the PP_Patch.exe file

3.     Please ensure the update program prints a success message

4.     Logon to OWA and test if the issue has been corrected

5.     If the issue remains please clear the local browser cache or compose a new message and press F5 to reload the compose page

NOTE
If users are going through a proxy, reverse proxy or any device that may cache OWA files, ensure that the device cache is flushed after applying this fix.
