Users receive a script error when selecting the “TO” button in a new message

SUMMARY

 

Outlook Web Access users receive the below script error when clicking the “TO” button to bring up the Plus Pack address book:

 

‘An error has occurred in the script on this page’

 

CAUSE

 

Below are the most common causes for the script error.

 

·         (Windows 2000 Server only) The Application Protection on Exchweb/bin virtual directory is set to Medium (Pooled) instead of Low (IIS Process)

·         An earlier version of Messageware Plus Pack is installed on the server

·         The authentication settings do not match for the Exchange, Public and Exchweb/bin virtual directories

 

RESOLUTION

   

(Windows 2000 Server Only) Verify the Application Protection for Exchweb/bin

 

1.     Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager

2.     Navigate to Web Site > Default Web Site > Exchweb > bin

3.     Right-click on the bin folder and select Properties

4.     Under the Virtual Directory tab, select Application Settings

5.     Verify that Low (IIS Process)is selected

6.     Click Apply and OK

7.     Clear the local browser cache (Tools\Internet Option\Delete Files) and verify that the issue has been corrected
