Java update 51 introduced new Security features. It blocks Messageware Java Controls that are required to save attachments.

In order to correct this behavior, users can use Java control Exception Site list feature to run the applications blocked by security settings. By adding the URL of the blocked application to the Exception Site list allows the application to run.

Follow the steps below to ensure users can successfully save attachments using Messageware AttachView Java control.

Action Plan

1.       On Windows client workstation, Open control panel

2.       Open Java (32 Bit) icon

a.        Select the Security Tab

b.       Look for Exception Site List

c.        Click on Edit Site List

d.       Click Add

e.        Enter your OWA URL e.g. https://<OWAServer>/owa/

f.        Click OK

g.       Click Apply to save changes

h.       Close all Non-IE browsers

3.       Login to OWA and try saving an attachment

4.       Confirm that user can now successfully save attachments

This behavior will be corrected in the next version of Messageware AttachView
