Expired Java certificate error when saving attachments

SUMMARY

 

While saving attachments on non-Internet Explorer browsers, some users receive a security information message about the expired Java certificate.

 

RESOLUTION

 

For Exchange 2010

 

1.     On the CAS, download and extract the following ZIP to a temporary location

http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/Updates/Java/AttachView_2010_JAR_Update.zip

 

2.     In the following folders, rename the following JAR files: smwsave.jar

     Copy the new JAR files from the provided ZIP

      \Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\OWA\MWScripts\AttachView\2.0

      \Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\ECP\MWScripts\AttachView\2.0

 

For Exchange 2007

 

1.     On the CAS, download and extract the following ZIP to a temporary location

http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/Updates/Java/AttachView_2007_JAR_Update.zip

 

2.     In the following folder, rename the following JAR files: smwsaveMac9.jar, smwsaveMacX.jar, smwsave.jar

     Copy the new JAR files from the provided ZIP

      \Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\OWA\MWScripts\AttachView\1.9

 

For Exchange 2003

 

1.     On the Front-End server, download and extract the following ZIP to a temporary location

http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/Updates/Java/AttachView_2003_JAR_Update.zip

 

2.     In the following folder, rename the following JAR files: smwSave.jar, smwSaveMac.jar; smwSaveMac9.jar; smwSaveMacX.jar

     Copy the new JAR files from the provided ZIP

\Program Files\Exchsrvr\exchweb\controls
