SYMPTOM

 

The following error occurs when invoking ActiveSend on a Windows 7 64-bit workstation:

 

An error has occurred attempting to save a new message:

CAUSE

 

This behaviour occurs due to a HTTP communication issue where the POST request’s Content-Length header is set to 0.

 

RESOLUTION

 

To correct this behaviour, apply the update below.

 

1.     On the Windows 7 64-bit workstation, download and extract the following files http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/KB/702_ActiveSend_v9_2_PostFix.zip 

2.     Navigate to the following location \Program Files\Messageware Incorporated\Messageware ActiveSend

a.     Rename the existing mwmailclient.exe to mwmailclient.old

b.    Paste the updated mwmailclient.exe

c.     Rename the existing mwmailmanager.exe to mwmailmanager.old

d.    Paste the updated mwmailmanager.exe

e.     Verify the NTFS permissions match
