SYMPTOM

Recipients may not be listed in the Plus Pack Address Book in the following two scenarios:

·         When accessing the Plus Pack Address Book using OWA Light

·         When accessing the Plus Pack Advanced Search in OWA Light and OWA Premium

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when Integrated Windows Authentication is enabled; the credential cannot be reused by the CAS to run the LDAP search against a DC. This is because the NTLM credential is not delegatable. As a result, the request is sent to the DC without a credential and is returned without results.

RESOLUTION

To populate the Global Address list in the Plus Pack Address book when using Integrated Windows Authentication, a trust can be configured for delegation between the CAS and the DC’s LDAP and GC services. This ensures that users with an NTLM credential can see GAL recipients in the Messageware Plus Pack address book. Additionally, this configuration permits the CAS to run the LDAP query on behalf of the user.

To configure a trust between the CAS and all DC’s LDAP and GC services, follow the steps in the IMPLEMENTATION section of the Messageware PDF document in the link below.
