SUMMARY

 

Users are able to navigate away from an active OWA session when compatibility mode for Internet Explorer 9 is enabled    

 

RESOLUTION

 

To correct this behavior, follow the steps below which involve applying updated MW_NGutil.js file

 

1.     Download the updated MW_NGutil.js from the link below       

      http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/KB/678_NG_1_2_IE9_Postfix.zip

2.     On the Exchange server/s where NavGuard is installed, navigate to \Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\Owa\MWScripts\NavGuard\1.2

a.     Rename mw_NGUtil.js to mw_NGUtil.old

b.    Copy the updated mw_NGUtil.js to this location

c.     Verify the NTFS permission matches to the existing location

3.     Perform Static Refresh for JavaScript files

a.     Open up Services and stop Messageware Static Content Update Service

b.    Open up registry editor (Open | Run | Regedit)

c.     Brose to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Messageware\Setup

d.    Create a new DWORD  value InstructionRefresh

e.     Right on the value and click modify

f.     Click on decimal and put 1 as the value

g.    Open up services and restart the Messageware Static Content Update Service

4.     Restart World Wide Web Publishing Service
