Internal and External rules configured in Messageware products are not taking effect when accessing OWA via an Web Publishing Rule on the ISA server

This article applies to the following products:  
     Messageware AttachView 2007
     Messageware NavGuard 2007
     Messageware TimeGuard 2007

 

SYMPTOM

 

Internal and External rules configured in Messageware products are not taking effect when accessing OWA via a Web Publishing Rule on the ISA server.

This behaviour occurs when either of the options below is configured:

 

1.     The published rule is configured with the setting “Requests appear to come from the ISA server Computer” and with the Messageware configuration in the KB article below

2.     The published rule is configured with the setting “Requests appear to come from the original client”

 

 

 

RESOLUTION

 

To correct this issue, configure the ISA Enterprise Deployment Environment to "I am deploying in a workgroup or in domains without trust relationships" by following the steps below:

 

  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  2. In Microsoft ISA Server 2004/2006, click Change/Remove.
  3. On the Welcome page, click Next.
  4. On the Program Maintenance page, select Repair.
  5. On the Enterprise Deployment Environment page, choose the I am deploying in a workgroup or in domains without trust relationships. Then, do the following:
  6. In Server certificate, type the path and file name of the certificate.
  7. In Certificate password, type the password of the certificate file.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Click Install.
