The Messageware NavGuard Security Event notification is missing the description when using Google Chrome browsers

SYMPTOM


The description in the Messageware NavGuard Security Event notification is missing when displayed in Google

Chrome. Users are presented with a dialog box with the title “Confirm Navigation” and two buttons labeled

“Leave this Page” and “Stay on this Page” respectively.

 


 

RESOLUTION

 

To correct this behaviour, apply the steps below to include the description:

 

1.     On the CAS, navigate to \Program Files\Messageware\NavGuard\Settings

2.     Make a backup copy of the SWSettings.xml file

3.     Modify the SWSettings.xml file using an editor such as Notepad

4.     Scroll down to item ID 123 (Cntl+F to find 123)

5.     Copy and paste the Item ID124 below between Item ID123 and Item ID125

6.     Save changes to the file

7.     Restart the World Wide Web Publishing Service for changes to take effect
