Users receive an error when attempting to print an imported calendar in OWA 2010

SYMPTOM

 

When users attempt to print a calendar that has been imported using Microsoft Outlook 2010 in ics format they receive the following error message.

 

Processing Error

Failed Access EWS

 

RESOLUTION

 

To correct this behavior, apply the updated OWA Print DLL, following the steps below.

 

1.     On the CAS, download and extract the file to a temporary location http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/KB/587_OWA_Print2010_PrintingImportedCalendars_PostFix.zip

2.     Navigate to \Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\v14\ClientAccess\Owa\Bin\

a.     Rename the existing Messageware.Exchange.Web.UI.Data.Ex2010.dll to Messageware.Exchange.Web.UI.Data.Ex2010.old

b.    Paste the updated Messageware.Exchange.Web.UI.Data.Ex2010.dll

c.     Verify the NTFS permissions match with the existing file

3.     Restart the World Wide Web Publishing Service for changes to take immediate effect
