Users receive “Unable to retrieve requested resource. (0)” when click on the add button in the Manage Delegates window

SYMPTOM

 

Users receive “Unable to retrieve requested resource. (0)” when clicking on the Add button in the Manage Delegates window

 

CAUSE

 

This behavior is occurs when Messageware.CalendarShare.ExAccess.dll and

MwExchangeAccess.dll are not registered properly during the CalendarShare installation.

 

RESOLUTION

 

To resolve this behavior manually register both the dll files by following the steps below

 

1.   Download the file from the link below and extract the file to a temporary location
http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/kb/585_CS1_9_Manage_Delegate.zip

2.     On the exchange server , navigate to \Program Files\Messageware\CalendarShare\Bin

a.     Copy the Gacutil.exe file to this location

3.     Open Command prompt

4.     Navigate to  \Windows\microsoft.net\Framework64\v2.0.50727

a.     Type following command  

Regasm “\Program Files\Messageware\CalendarShare\bin\Messageware.CalendarShare.ExAccess.dll" /unregister

Regasm "\Program Files\Messageware\Common Files\bin\MwExchangeAccess.dll" /unregister

5.     Navigate to \Program Files\Messageware\CalendarShare\Bin

a.     Type following command  

Gacutil.exe /u Messageware.CalendarShare.ExAccess /r OPAQUE MWCSEXACC MessagewareCalendarShareExchangeAccess

Gacutil.exe /u MwExchangeAccess /r OPAQUE MWEXCHANGEACCESS MessagewareExchangeAccess

6.     Navigate to \Windows\Microsoft.net\Framework64\V2.0.50727

a.     Type following command  

Regasm “\Program Files\Messageware\CalendarShare\bin\Messageware.CalendarShare.ExAccess.dll"

Regasm "\Program Files\Messageware\Common Files\bin\MwExchangeAccess.dll"

7.     Navigate to \Program Files\Messageware\CalendarShare\Bin

a.     Type following command  

Gacutil.exe /i "\Program Files\Messageware\Common Files\bin\MWExchangeAccess.dll" /r OPAQUE MWEXCHANGEACCESS MessagewareExchangeAccess

Gacutil.exe /i "\Program Files\Messageware\CalendarShare\bin\Messageware.CalendarShare.ExAccess.dll" /r OPAQUE MWCSEXACC MessagewareCalendarShareExchangeAccess

8.       Type iisreset /noforce to restart the IIS Admin Service
