Users are unable to print emails using OWA Print when toggling between messages

SYMPTOM

 

     Symptom 1  

      Users are unable to print emails when navigating through messages using the Next and Previous icons

 

     Symptom 2

      Users receive a blank screen when trying to print an email immediately after deleting a previous email

 

CAUSE

 

This behavior occurs due of an outdated mw_opbasicprint.js file

RESOLUTION

1.     Download the file from the link below and extract the file to a temporary location:

2.     On the exchange server , navigate to \Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\Owa\MWScripts\OWAPrint\1.0

3.     Rename the existing mw_opbasicprint.js to mw_opbasicprint.old

4.     Copy and paste the update mw_opbasicprint.js into this location

5.     Launch the OWA Print Management Console from the Start > Programs menu

a.     Select the Refresh tab

b.    Click on the Refresh button

c.     Click Ok on the Static content was successfully refreshed notification

d.       Click Ok to close the OWA Print Management Console
