     Messageware ActiveSend 2007

SYMPTOM

When using ActiveSend features, OWA users who have an image embedded in the OWA signature receive a warning message followed by two compose message windows.  The warning message appears as:

Some of the content in the message that you are trying to open is located on a server other than your Microsoft Exchange Server. Downloading this content could confirm your receipt of this message. To download blocked images contained in this message, click OK.  If you do not want to download these images, click Cancel.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs due to a limitation in ActiveSend for users that have a signature configured in OWA.

RESOLUTION

To correct this behavior apply the following update on the client workstation where ActiveSend is installed.

1.     On the Client Workstation, download and extract the following files to a temporary location

  http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/KB/521_ActiveSend_PostFix.zip

2.     Navigate to \Program Files\Messageware Incorporated\Messageware ActiveSend\

a.      Paste the mw_qwy2.dll

b.     Rename the existing mwmailclient.exe to mwmailclient.old

c.      Paste the updated mwmailclient.exe

d.     Rename the existing mwmailmanager.exe to mwmailmanager.old

e.      Paste the updated mwmailmanager.exe

f.      Rename the existing mwmapi.dll to mwmapi.old

g.     Paste the updated mwmapi.dll

h.      Rename the existing mwutil.dll to mwutil.old

i.       Paste the updated mwutil.dll

j.       Verify the NTFS permissions match with the existing DLL files

3.     After initializing ActiveSend, the second window and warning message should no longer occur

MORE INFORMATION

This will be corrected in a future release of ActiveSend 2007.
