Error occurs when clicking on Archive explorer in OWA: “Didn’t find archive node"

SYMPTOM

 

After installing Symantec Enterprise Vault, when users login to OWA and click archive explorer they receive “Didn’t find archive node” error

 

CAUSE

 

This behaviour occurs because MW_CORE.dll file is looking at requests destined to the enterprisevaultproxy virtual directory

 

RESOLUTION

 

Apply the update AttachView file , which should ignore requests to the enterprisevaultproxy virtual directory

 

1.      Download the update from the link below
  http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/kb/505_AV86_EV_ArchiveExplorer_Update.zip

2.      Navigate to \Program Files\Messageware Core Services\Filter

a.       Rename MW_CORE.DLL to MW_CORE.OLD

b.      Copy the updated MW_CORE.DLL file to this location

3.      Open the Registry Editor (Start\run\regedit.exe)

a.       Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Messageware Incorporated\Core Services

b.      Create a Multi-String Value with the following attributes:

Name: IgnoreFolders

Value: enterprisevaultproxy

4.      Restart the World Wide Web Publishing Services for changes to take effect

5.      Log into OWA and confirm if the Archive Explorer can be accessed
