When accessing Manage Delegates the Add button appears to be disabled

SYMPTOM

 

When accessing Manage Delegates using CalendarShare, the Add button may be disabled although less than 5 delegates appear to be present in the delegates list.

 

CAUSE

 

This behaviour occurs when Folder permissions are assigned (i.e. Drafts, Deleted Items, Inbox, and Sent Items)

 

RESOLUTION

 

To correct this behaviour, use the Microsoft Outlook client to remove the Folder permissions.

 

1.     Open the Microsoft Outlook client and log into the affected user account

2.     Right-click Inbox and select Properties

3.     Navigate to the Permissions tab, and remove all the permissions

4.     Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the Drafts, Deleted Items and Sent Items folders

The workaround included in this article pertains to CalendarShare 1.8c with the Resource Forest Delegate fix enabled. A correction to handle the limitation on EWS is expected to be included in the release of Microsoft Exchange 2007 SP1 Rollup Update 8.
