How to configure the first day of the week when printing calendars using OWA Print

SUMMARY

 

By default when printing a calendar in Week View or Work Week View the First Day of the Week is Sunday. This article provides steps on how to configure the first day of the week other than Sunday when printing calendars.

CONFIGURATION

 

The following steps below indicate on how to edit an aspx file to change the First Day of the Week.

 

1.     On the CAS, navigate to the following location \Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\owa\forms\premium

a.     Locate the following file MWCalendarPrintWebForm.aspx

b.    Right-Click on the file and select Open With > Notepad

c.     Locate the following section <mw:MwCalendarPrintWebControl FirstDayOfWeek=”Sunday” IntervalMin=”30” ID=”mwCalendarView” runat=”server” />

d.    Replace FirstDayOfWeek=”Sunday” with FirstDayOfWeek=”<enter the desired day to start the week, i.e Monday>”

e.     Save and exit the file

2.     On the Cas, navigate to the following location \Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\owa\forms\basic

a.     Repeat Steps 1.a – 1.d

b.    Save and exit the file

3.     Login to OWA and click the Calendar link

4.     When printing a calendar in Week or Work Week view, the first day of the week will be the day specified in the MWCalendarPrintWebForm.aspx
