Users receive a Processing error when printing their calendar using OWA Print

SYMPTOM


Symptom 1:

 

When printing the primary Calendar using OWA Print, the following error message may appear:

 

"Processing error.

 

The Counter layout for the Category specified is invalid, a counter of the type: AverageCount64,AverageTimer32, CounterMultiTimer, COunterMultiTimerInverse"

Symptom 2:

 

When printing the primary Calendar using OWA Print, the following error message may appear:

 

"Processing error.

 

Category does not exist"


CAUSE


This behavior occurs due to an environment related issue, where there is a corruption of the Performance Counters on the Windows Server


RESOLUTION


To correct this issue rebuild the performance counters by following the steps in the Microsoft KB article below.
