Exchange Address Lists appear in the Plus Pack address book even after restricted views have been enabled

SYMPTOM

 

Exchange Address lists are visible in the GAL when restricted views are enabled.

 

 

 

RESOLUTION

 

This issue has been corrected to only show the Global Address List and the Favorites when Restricted Views are enabled from the Plus Pack Management Console.

 

1.     On the CAS, download and extract the following file to a temporary location http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/kb/377_PP_R759_PostFix.zip

2.     Navigate to the following location \Program Files\Messageware\Plus Pack\Resource

a.     Rename the existing PPRes.dll to PPRes.old

b.    Paste in the updated PPRes.dll

c.     Verify the NTFS permissions match

3.     Navigate to the following location \Program Files\Messageware\Plus Pack\Service Worker

a.     Rename the existing PP_ServiceWorker.dll to PP_ServiceWorker.old

b.    Paste in the updated PP_ServiceWorker.dll

c.     Verify the NTFS permissions match

4.     Navigate to the following location \Program Files\Messageware\Plus Pack\vDir\bin

a.     Rename the existing PlusPack.dll to PlusPack.old

b.    Paste in the updated PlusPack.dll

c.     Verify the NTFS permissions match

d.    Rename the existing PlusPackIsapi.dll to PlusPackIsapi.old

e.     Paste in the updated PlusPackIsapi.dll

f.     Verify the NTFS permissions match

5.     Launch the Plus Pack Management Console (Start\All Programs\Messageware Plus Pack)

a.     Select the Address Book tab

b.    Place a checkmark beside “Enable OWA Restricted Views”

c.     Click Apply and OK

6.     Restart the World Wide Web Publishing Service for changes to take immediate effect
