Users receive an error when trying to add nine or more delegates to their primary calendar

SYMPTOM

 

When a user adds nine or more delegates using the Manage Delegates feature in OWA the following error occurs.

 

  “Failed to retrieve user information data.”

RESOLUTION

To correct this issue follow the steps below on downloading and applying an updated DLL on the Front-End Server.
 

Note: Restarting the Word Wide Web Publishing Service is required

Note: Verify the NTFS permissions of the updated file

 

  1. Download and extract the following file to a temporary location http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/kb/355_ManageDelegates_Fix.zip 
  2. On the Exchange server, navigate to \Program Files\Messageware Incorporated\CalendarShare for Outlook Web Access\vDir\bin
    1. Rename the existing CalendarShare.dll to CalendarShare.old
    2. Paste the new CalendarShare.dll
    3. Verify the NTFS permissions match
  3. Restart the World Wide Web Publishing Service for the changes to take effect
