Users receive a "73 -0x0" error message when viewing attachments in OWA

SUMMARY

 

When viewing attachments using AttachView in OWA, users receive the following error message:

 

AttachView was unable to access the Active Directory resource. This may be because the Active Directory object does not exist or the object has become corrupted, or because you do not have sufficient access rights for the object. (73 - 0x0)

 

CAUSE

 

This issue occurs if the Workstation Service is stopped on the Exchange Server.

 

 

RESOLUTION

 

  The steps include on how to start the Workstation Service on the Exchange Server 2007.

 

1.     On the CAS, open up the Services snap-in (Start\Run\services.msc)

2.     Locate the Workstation Service

3.     Right-Click and select Properties

4.     Set the Startup type to Automatic

5.     Select the Start button

6.     Click Apply and OK
