When viewing attachments users receive the following error intermittently "page has expired (59 - 0x0)"

SYMPTOM

 

When viewing attachments users intermittently receive the following error message:

"page has expired (59 - 0x0)"

 

 

CAUSE

 

This behavior occurs if the maximum number of worker processes value on the AttachView application pool in IIS is configured with a high value

 

 

RESOLUTION

 

The correct this behavior apply the steps below on the Exchange server where AttachView is installed:

 

1.     Launch the IIS Manager (Start\Run\inetmgr)

2.     Navigate to Application Pools > AttachView

3.     Right-Click on AttachView and select Properties

4.     Click on the Performance tab

5.     Locate the Web Garden section and under the Maximum number of worker processes

6.     Enter the following value: 1

7.        Click on Apply and OK

 

The following additional steps are required if using an Exchange 2007 server

 

Click on the Health Tab

a.     Remove the checkmark from Enable Pinging

b.    Remove the checkmark from Enable rapid-fail protection

c.     Under Startup time limit enter in 90

d.    Under Shutdown time limit enter in 90

e.     Click Apply and OK
