Users receive a script error when attempting to Open a file attachment in the compose form

When opening a file that has been attached to a newly composed message, users may receive the following script error.

Message: 'divMWAVCM' is null or not an objectUrl: https://server/owa/?ae=Item&a=New&t=IPM.Note

This issue occurs for Users and/or Groups that are members of the AttachView bypass list.





This issue is related to the AttachView bypass feature. When AttachView bypass feature is enabled, there is a mismatch between the native and the AttachView code pertaining to the Compose message window.



To correct this issue, apply the AttachView fix below.

1.     Download and extract the updated files to a temporary location using the following link

2.     Navigate to \Program Files\Messageware\AttachView\Delta

a.           Rename the existing avjs.ini to avjs.old

b.           Paste the new avjs.ini

3.     Verify the NTFS permissions on the above applied file

4.     Stop the Messageware Static Content Update Service

5.     Click on Start > Run, type regedit and click on OK

a.           Expand to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Messageware\Setup

b.           In the right pane, right-click on CsmHash and select Delete

c.           Right-click and select New > DWORD Value

i.                       Valuename: InstructionRefresh

ii.                     Valuedata: 1

d.          Close the Registry Editor

6.     Start the Messageware Static Content Update Service

7.     Restart the World Wide Web Publishing Service



This issue will be corrected in a future version of AttachView
