Users receive an error when using the SendToObject feature in Macros from Microsoft Access 2003 to send out emails

SYMPTOM

 

When using the SendToObject feature using Macros from within Microsoft Access 2003 users get an error when the SendToObject email field is set to No. The following error message is displayed:

 

“An error has occurred attempting to send a new message: There must be at least one name or distribution list in the To, Cc, Bcc box”

 

 

RESOLUTION

 

To correct this behavior, apply the steps below on the client where ActiveSend is installed:

 

1.      Download and extract the ActiveSend hotfix to a temporary location using the following link http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/kb/303_ActiveSend_Fix.zip

2.      Navigate to \Program Files\Messageware Incorporated\Messageware ActiveSend

3.      Rename the mwmailclient.exe to mwmailclient.old

4.      Paste the new mwmailclient.exe to the same directory
