How to send email via ActiveSend using the Command Line options

SUMMARY

 

This article provides steps on how to send email via ActiveSend using the command line.

 

INFORMATION

 

1.     On the client machine, open the command prompt by clicking on Start\Run

2.     Type cmd and press Enter

3.   Navigate to \Program Files\Messageware Incorporated\ActiveSend for Outlook Web Access

4.     In the command prompt, type the following:

 

mwmailclient.exe –To John.Doe@xyzcorp.com –Cc Jane.Don@xyzcorp.com –Subject “Messageware documentation” –Body “Please find attached the Messageware documentation” –Attach “/temp/wordattachment.doc” –Alias “test.doc”

 

 

Included below are the switches that can be used for ActiveSend from the Command Line

  • -To emailaddress>
  • -Cc<emailaddress>
  • -Bcc <emailaddress>
  • -Subject <subject in plain text>
  • -Body <body in plain text>
  • -Attach <path to attachment file>
  • -Alias <alias name for the last-specified attachment file>
  • -Silent

Note: All Command Line switches are optional. Parameters containing space characters should be placed between double quotes
