User receive "Failed to retrieve email information. (33-0x0)" when clicking on the AttachView binocular icon

SUMMARY

 

The HTTP Keep-Alives option is enabled by default in IIS to enhance server performance. If this option is unchecked/disabled using the IIS manager, users may receive the following error message when clicking on the AttachView binocular icon:

 

“Failed to retrieve email information. (33-0x0)”

 

CONFIGURATION

 

The steps below show how to enable the HTTP Keep-Alives using IIS Manager.

 

1.      Open up the IIS Manager (Click on Start > Run, type inetmgr and click on OK)

2.      Navigate to the Default Web Site

3.      Right-Click on Default Web Site and select Properties

4.      Under the Web-Site tab browse to the Connections section

5.      In the connection timeout section enter 120 seconds

6.      Place a checkmark beside HTTP Keep-Alives

7.      Click Apply and OK

 

Note: The above change may require a restart of the World Wide Web Publishing Service.
