A memory leak occurs on the Exchange Server after installing the Plus Pack 6.6

SYMPTOM

 

A memory leak occurs on the Exchange server when several connections are established to OWA simultaneously for longer periods of time. As a result of the memory leak, the IIS services appear to be unresponsive, or requires IIS services to be reset periodically.

 

 

RESOLUTION

 

We have created a fix to resolve the memory leak issue in the Plus Pack 6.6 version. Please follow the steps below to implement the solution.

 

  1. On the Exchange server, download and extract the fix from the link below to a temporary location
    http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/kb/188_Messageware_Plus_Pack_v6_6_Memory_fix.zip
  2. Stop the IIS Admin Service
  3. Double click on the file MWUPDATE.EXE to launch the update
  4. Complete the installation by following the steps on the screen
  5. Start the IIS Admin Service
  6. Confirm that users are able to login to OWA and access Plus Pack features without any issues

This fix has been specifically created for the Plus Pack version 6.6
