Users receive a 404 error message when attempting to view or save attachments

SYMPTOM

 

Users receive a 404 error message when attempting to view or save attachments when accessing OWA through a front-end server

 

 

CAUSE

This issue occurs as a result of having the AttachView criteria configured based on identity (group membership, logon ID, OUs, etc.) in an environment where Exchange Forms Based Authentication is configured.

 

 

WORKAROUND

To correct this interoperation issue, a workaround is required to configure Messageware AttachView as a subfolder to Exchange.
