“HTTP/1.1 100 Continue” appears in the Manage Delegates console

SYMPTOM

 

When using the Manage Delegates console to add a delegate from the Global Address List and clicking on the Add & Close button, the below text appears in the body of the Manage Delegates console:

“HTTP/1.1 100 Continue”

RESOLUTION

 

The cause of this issue is unrelated to Messageware products.

 

When a POST request is sent to a server that is running Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0, IIS may send an "HTTP 100 Continue" response in the middle of the response stream. The message "HTTP/1.1 100 Continue" appears in the Manage Delegates console after the request is completed successfully.

  1. The above mentioned hotfix for the "HTTP 100 Continue" issue has been included in the Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2
  2. A restart of the server is required after installing the update and may require scheduling in certain enviroments
