Interoperation between CalendarShare and ActiveSync in a single Exchange server environment

Users are unable to synchronize their mobile devices using Microsoft ActiveSync after installing CalendarShare on the Exchange server.

On a single Exchange server, ActiveSync requires that the /Exchange virtual directory is configured for Integrated Windows Authentication; CalendarShare is not supported with this configuration.


To resolve this interoperation issue follow the steps outlined in Method 2 under the Resolution section of below the Microsoft knowledgebase article. These steps involve creating a secondary virtual directory for /Exchange and configuring it to use Integrated and Basic Windows Authentication.
