How to configure Plus Pack to use an international dictionary

SUMMARY

 

This article outlines how to configure Plus Pack to use an international dictionary. The dictionaries available for Messageware Plus Pack include:  Danish, Dutch, English (CAN) English (UK), English (USA), Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Spanish, Swedish.

 

By default, all of the Plus Pack dictionaries are enabled in the Plus Pack Administrative Console. The dictionary used is based on the browser language. Alternatively, users can define the dictionary language by selecting the dictionary in the OWA Options page.

 

RESOLUTION

 

For all international dictionaries to be available, they need to be enabled in the Plus Pack Administrative Console. If the dictionary users would like to use is different than the browser language, the dictionary can be set in the OWA Options page.

 

Additionally, Administrators can pre-configure the dictionary language for first time users on the Default tab in the Plus Pack Administrative Console.

 

Enabling International Dictionaries in the Plus Pack Administrative Console

Note: Messageware Plus Pack international dictionaries are enabled by default

 

1.     Navigate to the Plus Pack Administrative Console (Start\All Programs\Messageware Incorporated\Plus Pack for Outlook web Access\Plus Pack Administrative Console)

2.     Select the Dictionary tab

3.     Enable the required international dictionaries

4.     Click Apply and OK

5.     Restart the World Wide Publishing Service for the change to take effect

 

Configuring Plus Pack to use a user defined international dictionary when performing a spell check (User Setting)

Plus Pack uses the browser language to determine the default dictionary language. To use a dictionary language other than the current language, implement the steps below:

 

1.        In OWA, navigate to the Options page 

2.        Scroll down to the Plus Pack Spell Check section

3.        Select the dictionary language from the drop-down list

4.        Select the save icon at the top of the page
