Users prompted with message: This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display the nonsecure items?

SUMMARY

 

When users login to or navigate away from the OWA session, they receive the following message:

 

This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display the nonsecure items?

 

RESOLUTION

 

This issue occurs when NavGuard and TimeGuard 1.5a are installed on the server. Messageware has created a hotfix to correct the message, which can be applied by proceeding with the steps below.

 

1.     Verify version 1.5a of TimeGuard and NavGuard are installed

a.     Navigate to \Program Files\Messageware Incorporated\NavGuard for Outlook Web Access and verify that the version.txt file indicates version 1.5a is installed

b.    Navigate to \Program Files\Messageware Incorporated\TimeGuard for Outlook Web Access\Info and verify that the version.txt file indicates version 1.5a is installed

c.     If the latest versions are not installed, upgrade prior to applying the hotfixes

2.     Apply NavGuard hotfix

a.     Download and extract the updated file from the link below
http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/kb/124_NGv1_5a_Secure_hotfix.zip

b.    Navigate to \Program Files\Messageware Incorporated\NavGuard for Outlook Web Access\Service Worker

c.     Rename the existing MW_NavGSW.dll to MW_NavGSW.old

d.    Copy in the updated file

e.     Restart the World Wide Web Publishing Service

3.     Apply TimeGuard hotfix

a.     Download and extract the updated file from the link below
http://w3.messageware.com/download/support/kb/124_TG1v_5a_Update_Limited_Release_Secure_NonSecure_Fix.zip

b.    On the server, open the TG1v_5a_Update_Limited_Release_Secure_NonSecure_Fix folder and bouble-Click on the MWUpdate.exe to apply the TimeGuard hotfix
 
NOTE:You will be prompted to restart the
World Wide Web Publishing Service
 

c.     Refresh TimeGuard by clicking Start/All Programs/Messageware Incorporated/ TimeGuard for Outlook Web Access/TimeGuard Administrative Console/Refresh Tab
