SUMMARY

Installing Messageware SessionGuard prior to TimeGuard, the SessionGuard option to monitor session inactivity is available in the setup wizard. Enabling this option in SessionGuard and then installing TimeGuard, results in informational Event 801 messages being logged in the Application Event logs.

CAUSE

The Event ID 801 informational messages appear in the event log as a result of SessionGuard and TimeGuard performing session inactivity monitoring for OWA sessions.

RESOLUTION

Disable the SessionGuard inactivity timeout feature by setting the TimeOutWarnSeconds registry value to 0 to stop Events from being written to the Event log.  TimeGuard will continue monitoring session inactivity.

Follow the steps below to disable SessionGuard timeout inactivity monitoring.

1.       On the server, open the registry editor (Start\Run regedit)

2.       Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Messageware Incorporated\SessionGuard for Outlook Web Access
